The point of no return....until 2:50 of course

That backpack is almost as big as she is. It's Princess, she had to have it.

School days are here again!

Well it's finally here, the start to the new school season, and we have TWO this year. Nicholas is officially a 1st grader and Madi is a kindergartner. I had my alarm set this morning for 6:30 am and when I got up and opened the door, there they were, already up and alreday dressed. Nico is a human alarm clock during the school year. He seems to know what time to wake up with out fail. Thank goodness for that, because I imagine he would have been late just about every day last year if he were to rely on us. They had all their supplies in order, ate a pancake breakfast and were off. So here are the pictures of the first day. Madi said, "mom, I'm not scared" and on the bus she went. Can't wait to see how the day went.

Spiritual Thought for the day:
"Stand fast, ye Saints of God, hold on a little while longer, and the storm of life will be past, and you will be rewarded by that God whose servants you are."

"I know in whom I trust; I stand upon the rock; the floods cannot, no, they shall not, overthrow me."
Joseph Smith

Papa playin' soccer. It's not like the professional team he used to play on back home in Colombia, but he has fun and it's keepin' him in shape.

Nico's party (on the same day with Madi's) was building race cars and racing them with his friends. Vroom!

This was Madi's birthday party back in July. She had a princes party. They decorated tiarras and had a princess parade to show them off. It was a lot of fun

Our first blog ever

Well, we finally decided to get on the blogger band wagon, seeing as all our friends and family are all over the place now. This seems to be the best avenue to keep you all up to date with us. So here we are, the Baca6. Andres, Jenny, Nicholas (Nico), Madeline (Madi), Emily (Emy) and Casey (Squirty Pants). Hope you keep in touch and let us know what you're doin'. (Two of these kids aren't ours in this picture :)
This is our silly Emily. She loves to dance ballet and be a princess!

Big brother and sister. Madi just turned 5 and Nico 6. They'll both be in school together and they're excited to get this school year started.

This is Casey Vanessa Baca, the newest member to the familia Baca. Born May 09, 2008. We call her squirty pants because, well, that what she does. She's a sweet baby, always smiling and loves to be loved.
